The New Canaan Historical Society includes five historic buildings with seven museums and a library housing modern archives and extensive collections. The museums include: The Town House with an excellent collection of 19th c. CT clocks and books, the 1845 Cody Drug Store, the 18th c. Hanford-Silliman House with original furnishings of generations of the Silliman family, a Tool Museum with a print shop (demonstrations Tues. 2-4), The Rogers Studio & Museum built in 1878 by John Rogers, famous as the people's sculptor, the 1799 Rock School and the 1868 one room Little Red Schoolhouse, and the Gores Pavilion at Irwin Park.
