If a trolley ride through a tunnel of lights doesn’t give you some holiday cheer, I’m not quite sure what will. Winterfest in East Windsor gives you a taste of the holiday spirit in Connecticut.

For many New Englanders Winterfest at the Connecticut Trolley Museum is a family tradition. You can ride closed car or brave the cold in an electric sleigh.

Sing Christmas carols as you venture through the Tunnel of Lights and make your way back to the visitor’s center for a hot steaming mug of hot chocolate. Check out the model trains and other displays at the museum as well. Learn about the how the electric trolley evolved from the horsecar and see how that evolution impacted society.

Come in Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm from now until the end of the year. Open Thursday December 22nd and after Christmas from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
